I study how the brain controls swallowing, and I work to bring better dysphagia care to people in community and long-term care settings.
My research interest
My PhD research examined the effects of swallowing exercises on the neurophysiology of healthy adults using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS).
I am currently part of a project that focuses on improving dysphagia management in community and long-term care settings, with the goal of enhancing early identification, care accessibility, and rehabilitation outcomes for individuals living with swallowing disorders.
